Lake Michigan Waukgen, Illinois Perch Fishing Guide Service

If you want jumbo perch this is the place.  A few miles off the shore of Waukegan, Illinois has one of the biggest concentrations of perch in Lake Michigan.  This a huge spawning area and the fish will be in this area from March - May with spawning ocurring in late May.  The Jumbo's then start to move out of the Waukegan area and will disperse to areas from Milwaukee to Chicago. 

The limit for perch is 15 per person.  We are fishing 50 plus feet of water so whatever perch are caught must be kept because there bladders blow up and they will not survive if released.  The fish average 12 - 14 inches with the opportunity of a 15 incher.  

Waukegan Harbor Location: Grand Ave. to Pershing Rd. take right, go 2 blocks to E Madison St. take left, make right by white building that says Waukegan Yacht Services along west side of building continue south to parking lot.
