Green Bay / Fox River Wisconsin Musky Guide Serivce

The Bay of Green Bay Wisconsin is a massive body of water.  The Bay of Green Bay Wisconsin is 120 miles long, with a width ranging from about 10 - 20 miles.  It is 1,626 square miles in area.  The Fox River from the DePere dam to the mouth of the bay of Green Bay Wisconsin is a 7 mile stretch of river.

Musky fishing on the bay of Green Bay is tremendous with the spring time, late summer and fall being the best.   The season runs from the last Saturday in May until November 30.  By the time the season opens muskies have already spawned and ready to feed.  The muskies are now working there way out of the Fox River and shallow areas on the bay of Green Bay seeking out cooler water and also following bait fish.   The main food sources are shad and whitefish.  As summer approaches and water temps continue increase muskies become scattered on massive Green Bay.

Once late summer rolls around mid August water temps start to drop and muskies will move to shallow weed areas on the bay and start working there way towards the mouth of the Fox River following schools of shad.  The giant muskies really start to move once the whitefish move in usually in November.  The muskies will move into the Fox River and areas on the lower bay of Green Bay for the winter.

The best way to catch these muskies is casting and trolling.  The musky size limit here is 50 inches and the muskies grow really fast with a 12 year old musky already being 50 inches.  For the state of Wisconsin this is your best chance for a 50 inch musky.

Come join Captain Doug Kloet for some of the best musky fishing in Wisconsin on the Bay of Green Bay Wisconsin and Fox River.
